Castell 9000 Graphite Sketch Pencils are made with finely ground graphite and clay for smooth, non-scratchy performance. The pure graphite leads are housed in a break-resistant, SV-bonded wood casing made from sustainably managed forests and coated with water-based varnish. The durability and consistency of these artist pencils make for smooth drawing, clean erasing, and easy sharpening. The leads range from soft (B) to hard (H) to help build rich, dark values or keep sketches light. Pencil sets are packaged in an attractive green tin for protection and organization.
