Harness the power of the sun for a classic method of printing with Jaquacard’s Potassium Ferricyanide. The cyanotype printing process, discovered in 1842, produces distinctive monochromatic prints in a rich Prussian blue tint. Ferric Ammonium Citrate is a part of the cyanotype chemistry. Use with Potassium Ferricyanide to treat a surface then expose any object that casts a shadow onto the sensitized surface and expose to sunlight or UV light to create a stunningly unique print.
You can also use the Cyanotype set with digitally printed photographic negatives on a transparency to produce highly detailed, full-resolution images.
Cyanotype is great for photographers, mixed media artists, printmakers, and quilters, and makes for a fun and safe project for kids.
