Derwent Inktense Blocks increase the range of possibilities in which an artist can use the Inktense line of products. Combining the brilliant colors of Inktense pencils with the freedom of blocks makes it easy to cover large areas quickly. Use as a dry application for intense color, or add water to create vibrant washes that leave translucent ink-like effects. Once dry, the color becomes permanent and can be washed over with other wet or dry media. The set of 12 includes one each of the colors Sun Yellow, Tangerine, Poppy Red, Fuchsia, Deep Indigo, Sea Blue, Teal Green, Apple Green, Leaf Green, Baked Earth, Bark, and Ink Black. The set of 24 includes all of the colors of the 12 colors set, plus Sherbet Lemon, Chilli Red, Shiraz, Violet, Iris Blue, Bright Blue, Ionian Green, Field Green, Mustard, Willow, Charcoal Grey, and Antique White. The set of 36 includes all the colors of the 24 color set, plus Sienna Gold, Red Violet, Cherry, Mauve, Peacock Blue, Iron Blue, Turquoise, Iron Green, Felt Green, Tan, Saddle Brown, and Indian Ink.
